Seaside is a city in Monterey County, California with a current population of 33,700 people. The city is located 2 miles from Monterey and is home to the California State University. Monterey Bay sits on the site of the former military base Fort Ord. The city covers 9 square miles and is located just 5 miles from the Naval Postgraduate School.
