Tooele Army Depot is a U.S. Army post located in Tooele County, Utah. It is a storage site for war reserve and training ammunition. The depot serves as the National Inventory Control Point for ammunition peculiar equipment, fabricating, modifying, storing, and distributing equipment to customers worldwide. The depot provides base support to Deseret Chemical Depot. The depot was originally opened in 1942 in the early part of World War II. Most workers at the facility are civilians. Areas of expertise for the depot include engineering, explosives, machining, assembly, and repair as well as robotics. During World War II, the depot served as a storage depot for war supplies. The Tooele Army Depot covers 23,610 acres of land and will be gaining the storage function from Sierra Army Depot in the realignment proposed in 2005.

The depot won the 31st Annual Secretary of the Army Energy and Water Management Award and the 2009 Federal Energy and Water management Award.
