Ocean Springs has a population of 17,000 people and is located about 2 miles from Biloxi. The city is one of the oldest in the United States with a founding date of 1699 and got its name from the healing springs that were believed to have medicinal properties. The town was one of the hardest hit during Hurricane Katrina but has rebounded since. Located just 9 miles from the Keesler Air Force Base, Ocean Springs has an historic downtown area that attracts visitors and residents alike.
